I want this site and the Recipe Column Cards extension usable by everyone, and I aim for WCAG 2.1 AA.
What's in place
- Text colors are checked against a 4.5:1 contrast minimum.
- Every interactive element is keyboard-reachable with a visible focus outline.
- Animations respect your system's reduced-motion setting.
- Images carry descriptive alt text; decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
- Pages use landmarks and a logical heading order.
- Printed cards use large, high-contrast type by design.
Known limits
The engineered grid is a visual table format. Screen readers read it as a table, which works but is dense for long recipes. There's no linear-list version of a card. The grid is the format, and when a recipe can't be mapped onto one, the extension tells you so instead of printing something else.
