This policy covers the Recipe Column Cards Chrome extension and this website, recipecolumncards.com. The short version: the free extension has no accounts, no tracking, and the only thing that ever leaves your computer is the text of the recipe you're printing.
What the extension collects
Nothing about you. The free extension has no account, no sign-up, and no analytics. I don't know who you are or what you print.
Recipe text, when you print. When you click Print the card, the ingredients and steps of that one recipe are sent to my card-building service so it can lay out the grid. That service uses an AI model (Anthropic's Claude) to match ingredients to steps. The recipe text is the only page content sent, and finished grids are cached so repeat prints of the same recipe don't need a new AI call.
A print counter, stored locally. The free tier's 3-prints-a-month counter lives in your browser's extension storage on your device. It never leaves your machine.
What this website collects
The site is a static page. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics scripts, and loads nothing from third-party servers.
If you buy Pro
Payment goes through Stripe. Stripe processes your payment details under its own privacy policy; I never see your card number.
What I store. One license record: the email you used at checkout, your license key, your plan, and the subscription status Stripe reports (so a canceled subscription stops unlocking Pro). There's still no account and no password.
One email. Your license key is emailed to you once after checkout, sent through Resend to the address from your Stripe checkout. No newsletter, no marketing follows from it.
License checks. When you activate or use a license key, the extension sends that key (nothing else) to my license service to confirm it's active.
Deletion. Cancel any time in Stripe's billing portal or by emailing me; to have the license record itself deleted, email privacy@jenbuiltit.com and it's gone.
What I never do
No selling or sharing of personal information, to anyone, ever.
No ads, no ad tracking, no third-party analytics.
No reading of pages you visit. The extension only runs when you click it, on the page you clicked it on.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Jen Built It LLC does not sell or share personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act, and never has. Since there's no sale or sharing, there's nothing to opt out of, but if you have questions about your data, email privacy@jenbuiltit.com.
Your rights
You can ask what data I hold about you, ask for a copy, or ask for deletion at any time: privacy@jenbuiltit.com. For the free extension the answer will usually be "nothing", since no account exists.
